Awendo villagers have called Kenya Power to move with speed and prevent illegal power connection after 11-year-old girl was on Sunday evening electrocuted to death.
Jully Apiyo Ouda was walking when she came into contact with a metallic cloths line at Marindi village in Awendo sub county, Migori County.
Ouda was electrocuted due to a faulty connection done by a nearby church from the deceased’s home for a crusade.
Area chief, Richard Ombok Ochieng, said the girl died on the spot and the body has since been moved to RAPCOM hospital mortuary in Awendo Sub County.
