Migori Business Round Up: New Safaricom center, high sugar prices after Sony closure

Safaricom has open a new customer care center in Migori county to serve residents.

The new center will make it easier for residents to access services easily and get quality phones, tablets, laptops and other gadgets.

Before the center, subscribers in Migori were forced to travel to Homa Bay, Kisii and Kisumu to get services.

Meanwhile the current closure of Sony Sugar company for maintenance has seen a kilo of sugar to retail at Sh20 more to hit Sh120 mark.

A 2kg packet of maize flour has also risen by Sh10 to hit Sh110 while gorogoro of beans, green grams, millet  and ground nuts sell for Sh250, Sh330, Sh180 and ksh.300 respectively.

A crate of tomato retails at Sh2,800 while a tin of omena has reason from Sh200 to Sh250.
