A funeral in North Kadem ward, Nyatike sub-county turned into a heated exchange over performance of governor Ochillo Ayacko in the area.

Former MP Edick Anyanga and his close ally former councilor Odoyo Nyakwaka went toe-to-toe with a local politician and blogger Tom Okong’o who is an staunch supporter of Ayacko.

Both Okong’o and Nyakwaka had vied unsuccessfully in the past for the North Kadem MCA seat which is help by Olima Bonyo, another staunch critic of Ayacko.

Sensing tension over lopsided Ayacko work in the ward along the Kolal and Kanyuor sub-clans of the large Kadem clan, Okong’o who rose first to speak took the microphone to support Ayacko work in Kolal area.

Okong’o claimed that Ayacko employed two sons from Kolal, a Mr. Augo in his office and John Henry Ongalo in the assembly as accountant saying both were employed permanently.

“Recently we placed water in Nyatuoro it was drilled but we are yet to put equipping, we have a market in Ndiwa, Ageng’a has evacuation center,” he said.

“We should be people who see far and appreciate,” Okongo said amid loud murmurs.

But Anyanga said what Okong’o counted was rubbish, but said Ayacko was still governor and has power to change the course of Nyatike.

“Ayacko should just stop wasting time and come and directly meet the people who voted for him, he is lucky he is still in charge of development signature even though in some areas like Kolal he has done nothing,” he said.

He said Ayacko should given time to deliver, claims which was supported by his ally Nyakwaka.

To show support for Ayacko, all three speakers took a dig at MCA Olima for undermining Ayacko openly.
