Uriri MP Mark Nyamita has been thrown under the political bus by his constituency ODM officials over February 7 State House meeting.
Speaking to the press, a section of the officials led by Uriri ODM chairman Isaac Onyango, the group said the meeting was personal and did not represent them.
“As a party we are sure development can never be brought from State House, that was a personal mission which does not represent us,” Onyango said.
During the meeting the group said they have written to the county ODM officials to support disciplinary action against Nyamita.
“As a party we don’t support Nyamita and as a party we say he is on his own,” Onyango said.
Onyango said yesterday a group which came out to support Nyamita was illegal.
“We are the bonafide ODM officials and speak for Uriri, those as who supported Nyamita yesterday are ghosts,” he said.
Grace Otieno, Uriri ODM woman chair said Nyamita was like “a son who goes across the fence to a neighbor who has been insulting his father and mother and destroying family property.”
“During the Senate by election Nyamita caused ODM sleepless nights in Uriri and he has gone back to PDP,” she said.
Solomon Kegode from South Kanyamkago ward said Ida Odinga, the wife to Raila comes from the area that’s why Nyamita move is in bad faith.
Agwenge Ndonyo, said in Migori they will work with the party and governor Ochillo Ayacko as the patron.
“We have written from Uriri and support the sacking on Nyamita and other State House leaders, we want Orange House to act swiftly and get us a by election soon,” he said.
