Businessman Jared Kwaga has declared interest to vie as Uriri MP in the 2022 general elections, with Orange Democratic Movement Party as his choice vehicle in the polls.

Kwaga said he was been mapping out his political path and has decided to be in the ballot to try and unseat the incumbent Mark Nyamita in the next polls.

“I am a life member of ODM party and since power is delegated to people according to the constitution, i will seek mandate through electorates,” Kwaga said.

He was speaking on Monday morning during a talk show at Onagi FM in Migori town.

“Uriri constituency has a history of MPs serving for only a term, and the ground has already shifted for change which is Kwaga for MP,” the businessman said.

Kwaga said currently he has been keen using his personal resources to ensure people are registered as voters to “ensure that our leader Raila Odinga is elected as the next president of the republic.”

“I have already approached Odinga and our party leader has blessed my candidature in Uriri, i have been seeking mandate from the people and the result is positive,” Kwaga said.

He said he is a strong candidate and a talk of Uriri in the area.
