As the race towards formation of the next Migori county government heats up, a governor aspirant has resorted to sell one of his houses and property to rise close to Sh180million campaign money.
The amount will be key in his campaigns, which according to one of his close handlers in Migori town will be have Sh80million divided equally for eight sub-counties.
“The remaining Sh100million will be used in getting the ODM ticket,” the handler said.
The handler said the aspirant as resorted to the tactic after realising compared to three other main aspirants in the race he was “poor”.
He said earlier attempt by the aspirant to promise each region of getting a running mate has run into a brick wall, making him resort to getting money for campaigns.
