Six Suna East ODM party officials that were suspended last week have vowed not to relinquish their positions claiming the leaders behind their ouster have no powers to do so.

On Friday a section of Suna East ODM branch officials suspended some official members accusing them of working with outsiders who are not party members.

Led by Suna East sub county chairperson Festos Mapesa who is among the people suspended the six, said that they can only be suspended by the people who elected them in those positions.

Mr. Mapesa said team from the party branch who issued a statement about their suspension must apologies within fourteen days saying that going public about their suspension is an assassination of character.

His statement was echoed by his deputy Mr. William Nyakwaka and the sub county youth leaders Mr. Philip Ambuko who vowed to stay put in the office.

The party officials claim that those behind their removal are against their reception to Governor Okoth Obado in Suna East at Alara Polytechnic early this month. They said the aggrieved officials have their favourite candidate.

Their statements were echoed by Suna West sub county ODM party chairperson Mr. Odongo Ragoi who want the party national chairman John Mbadi and party leaders Raila Odinga to come clean on the fate of governor Okoth Obado in the party so that they can know whether to associate with him or not.
