Musician Akothee has hinted that in the next general elections she will vie for female senate seat.

“Migori or Nairobi 2022? And don’t insult me, We need more women seats in parliament,” she posted on her page.

By the time of going to the press, the post had garnered about 10,000 reactions.

Akothee hails from Sakwa in Awendo and the mother, Eunita Kokeyo was a nominated MCA in the first Migori assembly and a majority leader.

If she officially declare her candidature she will face off with nominated MP Dennitah Ghati who has also declared interest for same seat.
