Rongo sub-county teaching fraternity are still reeling in shock after an assistant chief issued a school head with transfer letter in management row.

The Pundo Kawiti primary school deputy head teacher Pamela Riaga refused to pick the letter from the area administrator Wilfrida Achieng’ which saw enraged youths throw her out of the institution.

Riaga refused to pick the letter insisting the administrator was not an official from Teachers Service Commission which employs teachers.

Riaga categorically remained adamant prompting the cruel intervention of the school BOM chair Shadrack Odiwuor Ouma who had his goons in the ready.

The teacher was then roughed up and forced out of the compound.

The head teacher Zuhura Hassan who was monitoring the prevailing ugly incident said the teacher has been a problem in the school and had lost favors with both the school community and pupils.

But Riaga said the “transfer” was because she has been against mismanagement and case where two KCPE candidates were impersonated at examinations in the school.

KNUT Rongo branch executive secretary Thomas Ochiel Awino condemned the harassment leveled on the teacher and the transfer.

“The provincial administration over stepped her mandate and she should face the full force of law,” she said.
