Angry Olare residents have told off Awendo MP Jared Kopiyo and South Sakwa MCA Jared Osawa for refusing to build a killer bridge in the area.

Residents said on Monday evening Amos Owiti, escaped death narrowly when he tried to cross Olare bridge after a heavy downpour.

His motorbike was swept away and is yet to be found while he is still recuperating at Awendo Sub-county hospital after being rescued by his colleagues.

“In last election the bridge was used in campaigns for the posts, we are afraid that it will be used in campaigns again in next polls,” Fatuma Anyango said.

George Odede said every time it rains they have been forced to wait for hours on end on the busy road connecting with Awendo town.

Olare location chief Paul Ogweno, said the killer was a disaster in waiting.
