The farmer sobbing following his loss

When Migori News visited Musa Maguda the Pith Nyandundo village elder in Awendo sub-county on Thursday he was in depressed and in tears.

Maguda is counting huge losses after nine cows in his herd died after he used the Triatix pesticide.

Magudah bought the pesticide and sprayed his 11 cows, a practice he said he has been doing for long.

He said after about two hours he released the cows from the pen to eat maize silage that they started to drop deead one by one.

He seeks compensation from Migori county government as he takes care of 20 oprhans and children in his home stead.

“I am back to zero, I seek help from well wishers,” he said befor he broke down and cried.
