Migori county finance minister Tom Kasera has resigned from his post to seek the Kachieng’ ward seat in Nyatike constituency.

The Trade minister Thomas Maneno Mwikwabe has issued a notice ahead of his second attempt at Kuria East seat as Education minister Michael Ogutu is still buying time for his Suna West bid.

The three have to resign ahead of February 8 deadline requirement before they seek seats through elective politics.

Maneno, a former journalist, lost to Shadrack Manga of Kanu through a Pick ticket while the others are joining politics for the first time.

They have severally met with their electorates to drum up support with Ogutu having festive season celebrations to usher his bid.

The three, out of nine executives will force Obado to make abrupt appointments to fill the vacant positions.

This comes after Obado’s legal adviser Tom Kwanga resigned with immediate effect official citing “personal reason and deep reflection” forfeiting his one month salary last year.

Kwanga will seek to unseat Rongo MP Dalmas Otieno after he failed in last polls.

Sources have told Migori News that three chief officers are also contemplating resigning for elective positions.

They are Joseph Ngwala (Environment) for Kanyasa ward in Nyatike and his colleague at the same office Roseline Odhiambo for a ward in Awendo.

Silas Jonyo (Education) will seek Awendo MP seat.
