Migori governor Okoth Obado has vowed he will never allow senator Ochillo ayacko to replace him in 2022 as next county boss, terming him an outsider.

Obado again said he will only support an insider from his administration to succeed him as to continue with several development projects which he said an outsider will rubbish.

Already from his administration Migori county secretary Chrstopher Rusana, Migori speaker Boaz Okoth and Energy Executive Rebecca Maroa are out, even though he refused to pick his favourite during a function at Migori County Stadium on Tuesday.

Migori senator Ochillo Ayacko and all ten county legislators skipped the function, and Obado termed them as ‘naysayers.”

“If you have benefitted from several projects in my administration for the past two terms, then the most correct thing is we get somebody who will carry on with the same spirit,” Obado said.

He said those who support him and have seen benefit of his administration are “a strong army and our ability won’t be underestimated to give our voices on the ballot when we convince others.”

Obado said it will be sad for Migori people in the next polls for another governor to be elected who “will come here and rubbish things here. We can decide on who will inherit my seat, and you (wananchi) are my soldiers and will make sure we get the right candidate.”
