Fish Traders in Migori tore down the fence to the new Migori main market and began selling their commodities as they decried the stalled construction of the new market.

Led by their Chair Florence Anyango, the traders blamed the Obado led government of corruption and misappropriation of funds.

They said the County was taking tax from them while the construction of the new market has stalled.

The traders said their previous selling site poses a heath risk to them and their customers during this time that this region is receiving heavy rains.

The traders have vowed to pay taxes to the County Government till its speeds up the completion of the new market they have already occupied.
