Suna West MP aspirant Ben Migore has declared he will be in the ballot in August 9 general eelction on an ODM ticket and is confident of flooring the incumbent Peter Masara.

In a special interview with Migori News, Migore said Masara has performed below par both in issuing of bursaries and improving schools infrastructure in the constituency.

“This is because there is terrible nepotism in issuance of bursaries. In school constructions where he thinks he is scoring big, its worse because all tenders are inflated so that there are kickbacks,” Migore said.

He also said no groups in the constituency comprising of youths and women have been awarded any tenders “as a means to lifting them out of poverty.”

“Masara has scored zero in women and youth initiatives. There is nothing initiated to make youths and women economically productive. Where is the support to try and pull the youth out of poverty?,” he posed.

He said when elected he will ensure development is multi-pronged under the economy, health, education, food security, security, and water and sanitation.

“These pillars are also well captured in the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. You can not take one pillar and run away with it and say you are developing your people,” he said.

Migore said he will vie on ODM ticket in the next polls.
