Masara Mixed Secondary school is expecting to enroll over 400 new form ones from next week stretching infrastructure at the fast rising school.

The school’s principal Daniel Aloka told Migori News in a special interview that government gave them 249 new form one slots and already over 150 sought admission at the institution.

“In total we are expecting over 400 form ones which is beyond our capacity. Currently we are a two stream school and have to upgrade t five streams,” he said.

He said even before the upsurge in admission, infrastructure like dorms, labs and classes are already overstretched.

“We need to improve our infrastructure, we have been getting assistance with a laboratory and two classrooms from national government, but we need more,” Aloka said.

He said so far there is an upcoming dormitory which will be completed soon to have 200 boys with a History and CRE teacher recently posted by Teachers Service Commission.

“We need at least 10 teachers to reach all students and through the board we have employed five,” he said adding that the school has 19 TSC teachers..
