Police have impounded a Tanzanian motorbike and impounded marijuana worth Sh3million at Isebania border town.

Kuria West sub-county police boss Cleti Kimaiyo said they have increased crackdown on illicit drugs.

“The motorbike crossed over from Tanzania and we trailed it to Nyabikaye area where it was dumped in a maize plantation,” Kimaiyo said.

The motorbike had tens sacks of the drugs which weighed 300 kilograms.

“We did not arrest the suspect and already we have contacted our Tanzanian counterparts to help us in investigations,” Kimaiyo said.
