With 2017 elections less than nine months away, the season of political back biting and shifting of alliances is here with us.
The bug has come up in Kuria West constituency with Makerero MCA Joseph Hoyo turning against his friend and benefactor MP Mathias robi.
Hoyo last week declared through his FB posts that he was going to unseat Robi in next polls joining another new entrant KTN journalist Rashid Ronald.
Hoyo, in his post said only youths will decide the next MP and plans to go against his close ally after both were elected on DP William Ruto’s URP party last year.
Hoyo told Migori News on the phone yesterday that he was “firmly in the race for the seat,” but refused to say his political vehicle ahead of next polls.
Hoyo is from the populous Bukira clan while Robi is from Bugumbe.
He has been the closest MCA to Robi even when he was being attacked by others from the constituency especially in Bukira clan.
