Police cars at Migori TTC in past function

Migori police are in hot pursuit of an assailant who yesterday night stabbed to death an administration police attached Matara AP camp, Kuria East.

Preliminary report showed that Bernard Kasuku was stabbed on the neck by the assailant identified as Ghati Muhoni and he died on the spot after refusing to pay a debt.

Migori county police commander David Kirui confirmed the incident.

Kirui said the two were having a drink when they disagreed over the amount lreading to the accident.

He said their preliminary investigation has established that the police officer borrowed some money from the suspect and he failed to refund the money as agreed.

Kirui said the body of the police officer is preserved at Migori level four as the police have launched a manhunt.
