Rongo constituency has produced Kenya’s number one student nationally in the KCSE 2018 results released on Friday by Education CS Amina Mohammed.
Juliet Otieno emerged the top student nationally and her friend whom was also watching the release of results together was number 6 nationally.
They are neighbours and we seated in Christine’s home siiting room when the good news found them.
Otieno sat her examinations at Pangani Girls and got 87.644 points to emerge the best student while Christine was at Alliance Girls.
Otieno wants to be aeronautical engineer in her career while Christine wants to be a cardiovascular doctor in future.

“I attributed my success to hard work, I expected to pass the national examination but it was beyond my wildest imagine to be the top girl in the country,” Otieno said.
“I thank support from my family from grand father to my siblings who have been instrumental in my success by always encouraging,” Christine said.
