The impeachment heat against Gove Okoth Obado picked today as two female nominated MCAs exchanged blows at the assembly today.
The two were in the assembly during a session when they started arguing over the motion, which is yet to be tabled, before exchanging blows.
They disrupted operation at the assembly with acting speaker Boaz Okoth saying the two were reacting to the rumours.
“They fought, but I was not there. They were arguing over the impending motion to impeach the governor,” Okoth said.
South Sakwa MCA Jared Osawa confirmed to incident and the impending impeachment with so far 46 MCAs out of 63 already signing in.
He said the move has been caused by members who have nothing to show to their voters despite Sh21billion disbursed in Migori since devolution.
“Faces of ghost projects, contractors crying over pay and projects done without being passed by the assembly have caused the motion. The motion is there and alive,” Osawa said.
Osawa warned that similar fist fights, like the one experienced today will continue ahead of the motion.
