This puts to rest rumours on which seat Ghati was set to vie for in 2022 general elections.
“I had hoped to clinch the senator position where the bill would offer a senatorial position for both a woman and man, this could have accomodated more women in leadership. But now i am going back to my Woman Representative seat,” she said.
Ghati seeks to replace the current women representative Pamela Odhiambo with whom they have been trading barbs over the use of NGAAF, being that she had served in the position and initiated several projects.
Odhiambo will vie for the governor seat as she plans to battle it out with over ten male aspirants.
