Finish stalled projects before implementing new ones in Sh8.8bn budget, assembly to Obado

Migori governor Okoth Obado has been advised by the assembly to finish all stalled projects before implementing new projects in the Sh8.8billion project.

The County assembly budget and appropriation committee wants all the stalled projects completed before they roll out new projects.

The committee chairman Thomas Akungo,they said that there are numerous stalled projects which were started several years back which they said must be completed by the end of this financial year as money has been allocated to such projects.

While speaking to press after tabling the county budget estimates for fiscal year 2021-2022 they said that the public finance management bill should now be put into use saying that is the only way they will ensure all projects are done and completed in time.

Some of the stalled projects included the Migori stadium which was started in the year 2014 as over,Ksh.50 million has been used among other projects which are yet to be completed.
