Migori senator Ochillo Ayacko has received a big boost as a section of elders from Suna area have endorsed his 2022 governor bid.
In a photo shared online after a private session, former God Jope MCA Ochieng Abwao, former Suna Central MCA George Ombori and Trade Unionists and Suna Central MCA aspirant Baraza Nguka are seen with the senator.
In the previous elections,. the three leaders were in the forefront in de-campaigning Ayacko who tried to vie as a governor by throwing their weight behind the incumbent Okoth Obado.
With Obado’s political career reaching it”s sunset as a governor, and recent move to side with Deputy
President William Ruto in TangaTanga, the leaders’ move is seen as a welcome towards ODM leader Raila Odinga.
The move, will go against Obado who is keen on picking a governor candidate against Ayacko as Abwao was among leaders from Suna who brew controversy by picking Obado’s County Secretary Christopher Rusana as preferred candidate for Suna region.
