Awendo MP Jared Kopiyo addressing the press in Awendo town
Hopes of over 3,000 students of continuing with their studies have been assured as Awendo MP Jared Kopiyo issued them with cheques.
The students drawn from Secondary and Universities were awarded with checks worth Sh12.8 million at Mariwa Primary School.
According to the MP the constituency had recorded high levels of drop out and the kitty would help keep the students in school.
The legislator said all applicants were factored in the allocation in a free and fair process.
Awendo CDF kitty chairman Martin Ondong’ said legislators are still in charge of managing the CDF kitties.
