Migori senator Ochillo Ayacko has revealed that ODM leader Raila Odinga plans to host president Uhuru Kenyatta in Migori county on August this year.

Ayacko, while addressing ODM party delegates in Suna West and Suna East constituencies said plans are underway to host the president in Migori.

“We are preparing to host the president in Migori and Raila has sent me to tell you that as a party which plans to be in government in 2022,” Ayacko said.

Ayacko, the senior ODM leader in Migori county said the visit will not only launch several development projects in the country, but also ensure the region is firmly in Odinga’s stronghold.

During the Madaraka Day celebrations in Kisumu, Raila and Uhuru only launched development projects in Kisumu and Siaya counties rising disquiet in the South Nyanza counties of Migori and Homa Bay counties.

This came despite a long list of development projects to be launched which cut off the entire region.

“We are strong ODM soldiers in this region, when Raila called his troops to be in the streets we were in the forefront, that is why we have a stake in the handshake and we are not left behind,” Ayacko said.
