Rongo MP Paul Abuor has watered down the State House meeting with President William Ruto by a section of opposition leaders from Nyanza.

Abuor in a letter dated February 14 to the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) said he is still a loyal member of the party, watering down allegation he is against the party.

He was reacting to a letter by the party dated the previous day over the visit.

“I wish to state that these allegations are not true as am a loyal and dedicated member of the ODM party who lives y the party code of conduct that I signed,” Abuor said.

He said he has never promoted the interest of any other party “let alone UDA.”

He said the visit was a continuation of another meeting from Kisumu State House Lodge by the president  insisting there  was “absolutely nothing wrong with these development based meetings.”

He said he has a constitutional duty to represent the people of Rongo, a task he has been taking up diligently.

He said any allegations raised over the visit are “vague, baseless and unfounded.”
