Rongo MP Paul Abuor made a personal donation of mattresses and blankets at Kodero Bara High School after inferno burnt their dormitory on February 10.
“My team delivered my personal donation of mattresses and blankets to assist the students,” Abuor said.
The legislator said he has instructed the Rongo NG-CDF to “urgently work with the Public Works officials to ensure we construct some dormitories as an emergency.”
He said he was saddened by the news of the burnt dormitory especially when schools are struggling with infrastructure over Covid 19 protocol.
A 200 capacity dormitory at the school was completely razed down by a raging inferno that struck on Tuesday night.
School Principal Jim Agutu said the fire started at around 9:00 pm when students were attending their evening classes, suspecting that it was a planned arson attack.
