Statement by Rongo MP Paul Abour that he is amassing money for 2022 general elections to show his opponents ‘money games’ has irked voters.

On Saturday while meeting boda boda operators and in several stop over, Abour gloated that he is amassing a campaign money chest against his opponents.

Addressing the press in Rongo town, Nelson Odhiambo who seeks to unseat the incumbent took a swipe at the legislator.

“Abuorehas not delivered for him to ‘play with money’, he has been micro-managing CDF and Kerra tenders as he sought to recoup his campaign money through his allies and surrogates do,” Odhiambo said.

He said it is hard to pinpoint any transformation done by the legislator in Rongo.

“He better work on how he is going to pack and go home. The day secondary school he started in Rongo town should be completed, he won’t request voters to re-elect him to finish what he is stalling,” Odhiambo said.

He added: “He is busy making money from public fundings to gloat about money games. We will send him home with what is meant for people. He has taken Rongo backwards which we will rectify in the ballot”

He wondered how Abour claimed to be the only politician in Rongo on the ground while electorates can’t meet him at his home and he is always holed in hotels outside Rongo town.

“He should be told electorates complain that he nevers meets that in his homestead, on the ground he only meet people and his team in hotels around Nyamarambe, Rodi and Nyachenge centers. That is so much for a man with ground,” he said.

He said when elected he will boost agriculture and have open CDF and Kerra use devoid of corruption which lacks in Rongo.
