Ratego Radio 98.1FM based in Siaya’s county has called for help as a third journalist at the station has been attacked by goons.

Ratego’s key presenter Elfas Guya was attacked at 7:30pm when he was on his way to the station.

“The attacker sprayed acid on his neck and hands. The motive of the attacker is not yet known,” Captain David Bondo, the director said.

He said they will report the matter to police.

“Yhis is the third incident happening to Ratego Radio staffs,” Bondo said.

He said the first incident was on reporter Brighton Omolo who lost a laptop, KCB ATM, ID, job tag and sound recorder.

“Three months ago I David was the target. God kept both of us safe,” Bondo said.

He hinted that far Ratego Radio is the most listened Radio in Siaya and the attack may revolve around this.

He called for Media Council of Kenya (MCK) and Communication Authority of Kenya (C.A) to come to their rescue.
