Raila gives Sh200k for Lady Maureen’s burial, handed over by Awiti who gave Sh100k. Burial Saturday

ODM leader Raila Odinga has given out Sh200,000 in aid of Ohangla Queen Lady Maureen’s burial on Wednesday.

The amount was handed over by Homa Bay governor Cyprian Awiti through his aides who also gave out the county boss’ Sh100,000 personal donation.

This comes after social media was awash with complains that Raila Odinga, and other politicians who Maureen sang about neglected her, creating heated debate.

Several musicians led by John “Osogo Winyo” Okinyi and Elisha “Elisha Toto” Outa, called on Luo community to desist from always insulting Raila when one of the dies.

Maureen’s brother Carlos Odira and family spokesman said Maureen confirmed the donation thanking Raila and Awiti, and other fans for their continue support..

He said the musician will be buried on Saturday at Kopanga village in Suna West constituency.
