Mombasa governor Hassan Joho brought Migori county into a political standstill on Monday during Azimio Mtaani rallies.

Joho led a gliterati of politicians in rallies that started in Sori town through Muhuru Bay, Masara, Migori, Uriri, Awendo and Rongo towns.

“For the past ten days our leader Raila has been out if the country, but we have managed to put Ruto and his crew in check,” Joho said.

Joho said the successful Azimio Mtaani rallies have sent a very strong message to Kenyans that they will be a force to reckon with.

“We want to tell Ruto that he will have to respect Raila and his friend president Uhuru Kenyatta failure to which we will force him to,” Joho said.

Suna East MP Junet Mohammed said they are ready to snuff out Ruto’s political light together with his allies in Migori and across the country.

Kieni MP Kanini Kega said the political direction given under Azimio la Umoja will secure Mount Kenya region to vote for them send Raila to State House.

“We are firmly behind Raila and only want Nyanza to ensure they get maximum votes to make our work easier in the August 9 general elections,” he said.

Migori senator Ochillo Ayacko said in Migori they will ensure ODM gets six piece voting pattern across all seats on August 9 general elections.

Other leaders present during the rallies were Migori Woman Representative Pamela Odhiambo, Nyatike MP Tom Odege, Suna West MP Peter Masara, Uriri MP Mark Nyamita, Awendo MP Walter Owino, Rongo MP Paul Abuor, Homa Bay WR Gladys Wanna, Suba South MP John Mbadi amongst others.
