There was confusion earlier today at Suna West constituency after two rival leaders led their own voting centers in the ongoing Orange Democratic Movement grass root elections.
During the preparations of the voting, the constituency agreed to have the elections at Bondo Nyironge area before a section of leaders attempted to change it to Maranatha Hall within Migori town.
ODM Returning Officer Charles Ogol had a successful exercise at Bondo Nyironge where the constituency got its list of leaders to shape the party.
“We were shocked by the archaic character shown by a section of leaders who chose to disrupt the elections by having a mock exercise in Maranatha,” Godfery J.A said.
In the official election which was conducted by Ogol and got the blessing of area MP Joseph Ndiege, the following leaders were elected:
Mainstream: Odongo Ragoi (Chairman), Joseph Onyango Michael alias Olala (Secretary General), Ezra Otieno (Treasurer).
Youth League: Rashid Nyabiondo (Chairman), Bernard Otieno Abwao (Secretary)
Women League: Grace Achineg’ Otieno (Chairperson), Jael Akoth Marera (Secretary)
The fake list at Maranatha Hall had the following:
Mainstream: William Nyamwaga (Chairman), Shem Were (Secretary General), Tonny Masaga (Treasurer).
Women League: Susan Oinga (Chair)
Youth League: Davido Gweno (Youth)

The area is a metropolitant zone, constituated of several tribes,so it could sound somehow better when the list could have one member from other tribes ,i.e the minority.
