Police in Rongo are holding a middle aged woman selling second hand clothes at Rongo town market for defiling boys.

Police saved the suspect from an angry mob that wanted to kill her saying that she has been molesting young boys at Banana Estate.

The market chairman Joseph Onyango Ariwi said the woman was trailed from her banana house to the market over the same.

“Her last victim was a seven years old boy who had accompanied his mother to the market,” he said.

Rongo OCPD Jonathan Kisaka condemned the incidence and warned the public against taking law into their hands and instead report such cases to the police for investigations.

He said innocent people have in the past suffered in the hands of the public only to realize of their innocence when it is too late.
