Patients across public health hospitals in Migori county have complained of perennial drug less than two months after governor Okoth Obado launched Sh18million drugs.

Sources revealed that the drugs launched by the governor were only antibiotics, allegation that was rebutted by the director of health Migori County Joel Gondi.

Gondi through a text message insisted they have enough drugs in all the facilities.

A pharmacist who works in one of the county health facility told Migori News insisted they have drug shortage for more than two months ago.

When Obado launched the medicine on April 7, a patient said just a week later on 14th he did not get basic drugs at Migori Referral Hospital.

“I was referred to chemist to buy a list of drugs which included Zinc, ORC among other just a week after the launch. I have the receipts here,” she said.

She said there have complains of expired drugs too with Christine Awuor who visited Dede health facility being affected.
