Statement on the Collapse of Nyakweri Girls Building on 23rd December 2025

Fellow residents of Nyatike Constituency, the shocking collapse of the Nyakweri Girls Secondary School building today—funded by our NG-CDF under Hon. Tom Odege’s watch at a staggering unpropitious amount and suspected to have been built by an unqualified contractor—is not just a tragedy, but a damning betrayal of our constituency’s future and prosperity. It is an indictment of failed leadership!

Unforgivable Negligence.

This disaster exposes the rot of corruption and incompetence that has plagued Nyatike’s development projects for too long, where exorbitant costs line pockets while structures crumble before completion.

This is not the first time a school building has collapsed in Nyatike under the leadership of Hon. Tom Odege. Shoddy workmanship and lack of oversight have turned public funds into monuments of failure, endangering our children and mocking our trust.

Demand for Accountability Now

Hon. Odege must immediately account for every shilling of this project, reveal the contractor’s qualifications including NCA/NITA/WIBA registrations,and face investigations for this gross mismanagement.

No more excuses we must take decisive action to arrest the culprits, blacklist the unqualified contractors and halt all payments until justice prevails.
