NYARIGE: Not shocked with MP Osero’s silence in parliament, even in Borabu his development is too

Borabu MP aspirant Peter Nyarige has said he was not shocked when the incumbent Patrick Osero was listed among 19 legislator across the country who have never spoken in parliament.

Speaking to Nyanza News, Nyarige said Osero and three other Nyanza leaders making the list are “musketeers from Nyanza have their selfish interests at heart with no regard to the employer, the voter.”

Osero from Nyamira county, Rongo MP Paul Abuor and Kuria West Mathias Robi, both from Migori county made the infamous cut.

Nyarige said Osero who is serving two years since being elected has nothing to show for what he has done for those In Borabu, Nyamira.

“There is little to show for the 2-year stint in office,” Nyarige said.

“Osero cannot and will not fight for the needs and wants of the Borabu people. I’ve never heard where he speak in Kiswahili or English,” he claimed.

He said the legislator silence shows under representation of his constituents in the assembly.

“I will not be shocked if he completes his term without speaking in parliament,” Nyarige said.

He accused the legislator of lacking transparency in bursary allocation and lack of infrastructure improvement in schools, public administration, security, roads and electricity connection.

Osero could not be reached for a comment and he refused to answer calls or respond to messages for this article.
