A man in his late 40s was lynched yesterday by angry residents of Piny Owacho in Migori County after they found him stealing women panties and bras from the line.

Jack Otieno was cornered with some panties stuffed in a black polythene bag at around 5pm.
According to Kawere Rateng Chief, Juliet Atieno, the suspect had been linked to several theft cases and had appeared before her severally.

Last month, he stole plastic chairs and household goods from a woman who was having a chama meeting with other women and was released on bond.

Atieno added that residents have been tolerant with him but he crossed the red line after they caught him stealing inner wears. They beat him and later on lynched him.

The body was taken to the Migori Level Four mortuary.
