Nyatike MP Tom Odege has been criticized for failing to boost football talents in the constituency for the past two terms.

The constituency aspirant Shadrack Anyuo said for the past decade Nyatike has lacked annual tournaments and teams still grapple with buying uniforms and getting training.

“We have failed our youths in Nyatike because the sports allocation for each financial year has never been felt, we plan to change that at the ballot,” Anyuo said.

He said for the past decade prudence use of sports funds through the NG-CDF kitty could’ve given all teams uniform in the constituency.

“Right now we could’ve talked of buying boots, training refs and coaches to be able to officiate international games like World Cup,” Anyuo said.

He was speaking in Ochuna market where he gave all 11 teams from Kaler ward uniforms.

“I will strive to have a league for Nyatike teams which will be a sure and steady way of nurturing talent complete with scouts,” he said.

He said youths in Nyatike should emulate the Gen Z revolution against the government and demand answers on use of NG-CDF funds especially the sports allocation.

He said he was sure of beating Odege and other fellow competitors for the race in the 2027 elections.

“When you great me in a function just know you are greeting your next MP,” he said.
