Migori county and EIDU have entered into a Sh41million one year partnership to equip half of lower learning schools with digital gadgets.
The unveiling of the project was done on Friday in Migori town through county education executive Rahab Robi and EIDU officer Lillian Avukwe.
“This will come hand in hand after Migori completed new over 14o ECDE classrooms across the county in addition to buying furniture across 40 wards,” Rahab Robi, county Education Executive said.
She said the gadgets will be useful even in schools with poor electricity connectivity.
Avukwe said the project will support learners for a year with option of extension.
“We will support Migori by training teachers in addition to providing gadgets which will have learning materials and help learning and teaching progress,” she said.
Edward Okello, Migori director of education said Migori has 945 ECDE centers and the project will cover 348 and the rest will be covered later.
