A clerk at Migori High Court has been arrested and will be charged for demanding Sh100,000 bribe from a suspect to help offer lenient court sentence.
The office of the director of prosecution on a press release said Shadrack Odhiambo will be charged “for requesting for abribe of Ksh100,000 in order to help an accused person get a lighter sentence in a criminalcase.”
Odhiambo asked for the amount and already had received Sh20,000.
ODPP said he will be charged with counts of receiving a bribe contrary to section 6(1)(b) as read wth section 18(!) of the bribery act, 2016.
