Residents of suna west constituency in Migori County have complained that the bursary forms are being issued without proper vetting.
Bursary forms are said to be given to only those that voted the area member of parliament Hon. Joseph Ndiege in the last election. Residents want proper criteria shown to them and relevant papers given to prove the same that there is proper vetting.
Area MP Joseph Ndiege told the press that the allegations were by people are spreading rumours and that they have ill motives.
“Bursary forms have been issued and the beneficiaries underwent proper and fair vetting, there was no regional imbalance whatsoever that occurred so far my work has been fair without any discrimination”. Said Ndiege speaking to Kenya News Agency.
However, the CDF chairperson Mr. Benard Konya says he disagrees with the area member of parliament and thinks that the allegations made by the residents could be true.
“It is actually true that the bursary forms have been issued but the problem now comes where since they were issued up-to-date, no vetting has taken place,” said Mr. Konya speaking to Kenya New Agency yesterday.
