Achochi expressed confidence that Obado with other governors who were re-elected will work as a team with the new governors to oversee the signing, registration and implementation of their CBA.
Catherine Tingo branch secretary regretted that Kenyans are not getting the nurses services because the leaders failed respond to the voices of nurses.
“It is unfortunate that even nurses fall sick, including our relatives who also need the services from the nurses in our public heath hospitals and health facilities,” Tingo said.
She revealed that most of the pertinent issues highlighted by nurses will be solved if the CBA they considered will be signed and implemented.
“Improved working conditions, remunerations and promotions are well addressed in the proposed CBA with the council of governors,” Tingo added.
The branch secretary called on the immediate re-constitution of the council of governors so that their issues are addressed to end suffering witnessed in public health institutions.
“Jack Runguma former Kisumu County governor and also chairman health committee in the Council of Governors should be replaced immediately to end suffering in Kenyan public hospitals,” she added.
The officials further faulted reports that their demands contained in CBA have been exaggerated saying that their remuneration and promotions will cost tax payers Kshs 40 billion which should be implemented in four years but not in one year as earlier reported.
