We put the spotlight on Kisii county, one of the six in former Nyanza region under special coverage of Nyanza News.
Kisii covers an area of 1,318 square kilometers with a total of 45 wards and 9 constituencies, making it the most populous in the region.
Kisii town is the headquarters.
Out of 45 wards, a total of 12 parties swooped and are represented in the assembly showing diverse and maturity of democracy. Only three candidates were elected on an independent ticket.
For the 2022-27 period Kisii county had a diverse house and before we list the names and parties of each MCA, we first record how the parties fared with Orange Democratic Movement being a majority.
