Migori county leaders have been urged to consider all tribes and clans in job and development opportunities.
Dr. Alfred Mudeizi, an elder from the Luhya community said governor Ochillo Ayacko, Woman Representative Fatuma Mohammed and senator Eddy Oketch should use their office to unite Migori.
“Their seats are meant to unite the county and we are watching closely because Migori has both majority and minority tribes and we should all feel included,” Mudeizi said.
Speaking in Migori town said Kenyans should feel represented and should include all voters.
“We want to ensure that we get important not only when we are getting votes but also when we work,” Mudeizi said.
He said the same should be done by national leaders like MPs when there are appointments in the broad based government between President William Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga.
“We all pay taxes as Kenyans and so far we have lived harmoniously in Migori as Luos, Kuria and Luhyas we need to see the same,” he said.
The elder said they are grateful that the Migori county government appointed several members of the community and they look forward for more ahead of 2025.
