Migori Governor Ochillo Ayacko has fulfilled his campaign pledges for a better healthcare by launching several firsts in the county.
Ayacko affirmed his administration commitment by continue equipping Migori Referral Hospital.
Ayacko launched renovated causality unity, gastroenterology unit and the emergence medical care unit at the Migori County Referral Hospital said that new services will equip the hospital to ensure that the better services are offered to the residents.
Ochilo however, noted that the launch of the causality department and emergence medical care plan in partnership with the Emergency Medicine Kenya Foundation will strengthen the emergency health systems in Migori.
Emergency Medicine Kenya Foundation Programmes Director Ms. Emily Nyagaki said that the organisation was looking forward to partnering with the county to provide more support and pre hospital services for a better and healthier population.
The units launched are:
- The renovation of the Accident and Emergency (A&E) Department
- Commissioning of a Medical/Surgical Complex Project
- New Oncology Unit
- New Endoscopy Unit
- Liquid Oxygen plant
- Physiotherapy Unit
