The Orange Democratic Movement grassroots voting for polling station officials on November 27 went smoothly in Suna East constituency.
All 71 polling stations in the constituency headed by Minority Leader Junet Mohammed, except prisons polling station, went through smoothly.
Junet’s men on the ground were upbeat over the processing which they said will help strengthen the party.
Suna East ODM chairman William Nyakwaka said he voted at Ngege Primary School and across the constituency the process was smooth.
Same sentiments was shared by Kenneth Mauko, the area constituency manager who voted at Wiarot Primary School in Kakrao ward.
“Voting process has been peaceful, only registered ODM members took part in the voting and we were keen to have loyalists,” Nyakwaka said.
Nyakwaka said it was sad that in the past leaders elected in the party have been leaving them to join rivals.
“We will ensure that we strengthen the party from grassroots at loyalists and those who will stand with us ahead of 2027 polls,” Nyakwaka said.
Mauko said as party members they will ensure strength and unity ahead of next polls
Ibrahim Ogindi an official elected at , Wiarot primary school said the process was smooth.
The three said they in Suna East, Junet has strengthen the party from grassroots.
