Police in Migori have launched investigations against a teacher for violently assaulting a student.

The parent of the form three student at Nyasoko secondary school in Suna West, Migori County reported an assault incident at Piny Oyie police station.

Julius Abich, the father told the press in Migori town that he is seeking justice after his son was allegedly assaulted by one of the teachers and sustained injuries.

“He was been beaten over photos he took together with some of his fellow students during a sporting activity last week Saturday. He suffered serious injuries and he is now hospitalized at Pastor Machage hospital in Migori town,” the father said.

He said that after beating his son, the teacher called him to inform him that he had sent the student home for treatment.

“When i saw the condition my child was in i walked to school but i was denied audience, i reported the matter to Piny Oyie police station,” Abich said.

He said since after being assaulted, his son has been bleeding from the nose and complains of pain.

“He is traumatised, we need justice for my son and i will take the matter to all relevant bodies of the government to take necessary legal action,” he added.
