Nyatike MP Tom Odege has thrown cold water over the new changes by Orange Democratic Movement top leadership changes.
Odege said he was not satisfied by the names in the new list saying some of them have questionable loyalty to the party and leader Raila Odinga.
“We support the changes by our our party to take position to fill those left by our colleagues who have joined government, we need those who will look after our interests,” Odege said.
But the legislator said the list has questionable characters who will not hestitate to sell out the the party.
The party settled on Kisii governor Simba Arati, his Mombasa counterpart Abdulswamad Nassir and Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi as its deputy party leaders.
The three filled the positions which were held by Cabinet secretaries Wycliffe Oparanya and Hassan Joho.
In other changes, Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga has been picked to replace John Mbadi as the national chairman.
The changes were made on Friday during the Central Management Committee meeting chaired by party leader Raila Odinga.
In the changes, the party named Rarieda MP Otiende Amolo and his Turkana South counterpart John Ariko as vice chairmen. Kajiado East MP Kakuta Maimai is secretary for special programmes and social welfare, Rahab Robi (Migori CEC) secretary of publicity and information, Rosa Buyu (Kisumu West MP) secretary for political affairs and Ruth Odinga (Kisumu Woman Rep) deputy organising secretary.
But speaking to the press in Migori town on Saturday, Odege said he was worried by the list.
“We have those who will sell out especially now that President William Ruto is buying parties,” Odege said.
He said some new officials have questionable loyalty.
