Kuria East Member of Parliament, Marwa Kitayama, has also weighed in on President William Ruto’s recent visit to Kisumu, offering his perspective on the President’s leadership and the opportunities it presents for all Kenyans, particularly the people of Nyanza.

Kitayama praised President Ruto’s inclusive approach and expressed confidence that his administration is committed to the welfare of every Kenyan, regardless of their ethnic or political background.

Speaking on the sidelines of the President’s address in Kondele, Kitayama emphasized that President Ruto “means well for all Kenyans” and is focused on uniting the nation and delivering on his promises of development and opportunity.

He encouraged the people of Nyanza to shift their political mindset and embrace the leadership of President Ruto, suggesting that this change in approach could lead to greater benefits for the region in the long run.

“Let us change our political tactics and embrace the Ruto regime, for it is under this government that we will truly reap the rewards,” Kitayama said.

He noted that many people in the region have already begun to align themselves with the President’s leadership, acknowledging the growing number of individuals adopting a politics of loyalty to the President and his administration.

This shift, he argued, would open the doors to more opportunities and ensure that the region remains part of the country’s national growth and development.

Kitayama’s comments reflect a growing sentiment among some leaders in Nyanza, who believe that aligning with President Ruto’s government will bring economic and social benefits to the region.

The MP was particularly pleased to see that the people of Nyanza are increasingly recognizing the advantages of playing loyalty politics, which he believes will yield significant rewards in terms of government initiatives, investments, and resources.

The MP’s message echoed the broader sentiment of President Ruto’s speech in Kisumu, where he called for unity, inclusivity, and a commitment to working together for the country’s progress.

Kitayama’s appeal to the people of Nyanza was clear: political allegiance to President Ruto’s government will not only ensure that the region’s voice is heard but also pave the way for a prosperous future through development projects and greater national collaboration.

As the political landscape in Kenya continues to evolve, Kitayama’s remarks contribute to the growing conversation about national unity and the importance of fostering cross-regional partnerships for the collective good of the nation.

The call for a more united approach, in which all regions—including Nyanza—actively participate in the government’s agenda, is seen as a step towards more inclusive governance and broader economic opportunities for all.
